- Ian Wilson our chairman retires after 13 years
Ian has been chairman for 13 years and was previously a trustee for 4 years, so has worked tirelessly for the Millennium Green for 17 years. In that time he has overseen the development of “Talks with wine” Carols on the Green and of course the Lansdown Open Gardens which have become a regular summer feature. The Trustees and the garden owners who opened their gardens for the Lansdown Open Gardens, celebrated Ian’s retirement with a summer BBQ in the garden of our new chairman Jonathan Nash.

Was the subject of the “talk with wine” on March 17th. It was a fascinating topic, with many different aspects to the renewal, turning an ancient building into a warmer, light filled space with specially designed amenities for the choir. Over 50 people attended this excellent talk and many commented that they would visit the Abbey and now look out for the different features, which they had previously been unaware of.
- ‘CAROLS ON THE GREEN’ THURSDAY 5th DECEMBER 2024 – 6pm
Due to the weather the ‘Carols on the Green’ on December 5th had to be moved to St. Stephen’s Church but the event a great success. The two choirs, St. Stephen’s Primary School choir and CitySound Voice Bath choir were excellent. The carols together with the mulled wine and mince pies put everyone into the Christmas spirit.
