Sheila Gundry, Head of Operations at the wildlife charity Froglife, will give a talk titled ‘Toad Tails: Wildlife in and around Charlcombe Lane‘. This talk will give a particular emphasis on Charlcombe’s flourishing amphibian population. She will also delve into the fascinating ecology of these often overlooked but truly remarkable creatures, the challenges they face locally, and how best we can conserve them.
About Sheila Gundry
Sheila joined Froglife in September 2017 as Development Manager for Education, Learning and Communications and in 2021 took over as Head of Operations. Reporting to the CEO she oversees Froglife’s projects and manages the majority of the staff across the organisation. Sheila is a specialist in environmental education – she loves finding creative ways of teaching and learning about the environment. She has extensive experience of managing major projects and developing new ones. She is a qualified secondary school teacher and is particularly interested in active, hands on learning techniques. Outside work she is often to be found exploring wild places and having adventures in the natural world.
Tickets are £12.50 per person. The ticket price includes one glass of wine. Additional glasses of wine can be purchased at £4.50 per glass.
